CHARACTERISTICS

It is a small herbaceous plant that does not exceed 50 cm in height. It has small lilac flowers which are very aromatic.

USAGE

In the Caribbean area it is usually used in the form of teas to treat bronchitis or cough disorders and also as a mild sedative.

MEDICINAL USAGE

It is recognized for its relaxing, nervine, expectorant and pectoral properties.
