CHARACTERISTICS
It is a green, fleshy plant that grows up to 60 cm high and with a stem that divides from its base into multiple leaves which have thorns on their edges. It has a yellow spike-shaped flower. A plant highly valued for its medicinal properties.
USAGE
Traditionally, its use has occurred since ancient times basically to treat different health conditions.
MEDICINAL USAGE
The part of the plant that is used is its pulp and it is used both internally and externally. Internally it is used to treat all types of gastric disorders and to cleanse and strengthen the liver, pancreas and bile ducts. It is known that it also has properties that cleanse the blood.
Externally it has always been used to treat skin conditions of various kinds. Stings, burns, wounds, ulcers and sores.

CARACTERÍSTICAS
Es una planta verde, carnosa, que crece hasta 60 cms de alto y con un tallo que se divide desde su base en múltiples hojas las cuales presentan espinas en sus bordes. Tiene una flor amarilla en forma de espiga. Una planta muy valorada por sus propiedades medicinales.
USOS

USOS MEDICINALES
La parte de la planta que se aprovecha es su pulpa y se utiliza tanto internamente como de manera externa. Internamente se usa para tratar todo tipo de trastornos gástricos y para limpiar y fortalecer el hígado, el páncreas y las vias biliares. Se sabe que además posee propiedades que limpian la sangre.
Externamente se ha utilizado desde siempre para tratar afecciones de la piel de diversa índole. Picaduras, quemaduras, heridas,úlceras y llagas.
